The Reveal
Match Ruleset:
My Team
Summoner:
Life-Splinter: Grants Divine Shield ability to each friendly monster
Amazing summoner who can make a game winning difference in countless matchups
--
Divine Shield: The first time the Monster would take damage, it is ignored
--
(1st Position -Tank)
--
Inspire Ability: Gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee
--
--
Piercing Ability: If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health
Cons:
- somewhat low Health pool so it has a slight weakness to Magic attacks
(2nd Position)
--
Reach Ability: Melee attack Monsters with Reach can attack from the 2nd position
--
--
Flying Ability: Has an increased chance of evading Melee and Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability
(3rd Position)
--
Sneak Ability: Targets the last positioned Monster on the enemies team
--
(4th Position)
(5th Position)
--
Slow Ability: Reduces the speed of all enemy Monsters
--
(6th Position)
--
Opportunity Ability: allows the Monster to attack from any position, targeting the lowest Health monster
Round 2
My battle strategy was to try targeting the weaker Monsters in the enemies line-up using two Sneakers, Uraeus and Stitch Leech, to hit their backline and the Opportunistic Celestial Harp.
- extra (+1) Melee courtesy of our Tank: Silvershield Knight
- extra speed differential from (-1) Speed with Time Mage's Slow
The first round sees the destruction of the enemies farthest back Monster who had a decent defense from physical attacks.
Round 3
Silvershield Knight surprises by surviving a full two rounds as the Tank, providing extra Melee damage for our high DPS Monsters
Stripped enemies team of utility and some of it's damage
Enemy healer can be targeted now and will be taken out next round
At the end of the round it still seems like it's a close fight
Round 4
Our Tank (Silvershield Knight) is taken out at the beginning of Round 3
Their Tank (Djinn Oshannus) gets one more heal before their healer is taken out
Round 5
- an extra miss on their Tank gets me even more tensed as I watch this battle near its conclusion
Round 6
each team is down to their last few Monsters
any missed attacks here could change the outcome of the match
Round 7
- Divine Shield continues to show its value, as our Time Mage is saved from a killing blow that would be DeepLurker's final attack
VICTORY!!!

The battle plan proved successful despite a very strong resistance; Lorna Shine and Time Mage proved to be very important
Lorna Shine summoner giving the Divine Shield ability to each of our Monsters was a major contributing factor to the victory; this allowed each Monster to take zero damage from the first attack hitting it
Time Mage's Slow ability was also a strong contributer; the battle was down to the last few Monsters on each team - I believe if my team had missed a few more attacks we could have lost
All-in-all it was a very satisfying battle, and I hope you all have enjoyed the breakdown. Thank-you for your time and attention. Until next time - cheers!
